NEXT RACE SEPT. 12, 2010, 12:30 P.M.
WOODWARDS-CORDOVA STREET
August 22, 2010 Grand Prix of Italy
A slightly cloudy but very nice race day. The 10 drivers in competition showed excellent sportsmanship and helped us donate a total of $15,000.00 to three different charities.
Valentino drove to First Place which qualified him to drive in our World Championship race in October. Second place Marco also qualified for that race. Third place was won by Cole. They all received a bottle of Friends of Ferrari “Champagne” and a trophy.
Team Member Roger made the Donations of $5,000 to:
The Children’s Wish Foundation representative Tom Leslie; Boy’s & Girl’s Clubs of Greater Vancouver representative Sherry Grant; and David Ostro representing The Disabled Sailing Association of B.C.
Thank you to our drivers’ managers Sherry, Terry and Rosa.
The Canadian Tire bike was won by Carmen, a very happy little girl.
As in every Grand Prix each driver received a Grand Prix Medal and a Ferrari bag of presents to thank them for helping us raise funds to help others.

Here are photos of the day.

APRIL 24, 2010
On Saturday, April 24 a special Team Member of Friends of Ferrari,
the Vancouver Police Pipe Band, inaugurated the 2010 fund raising
campaign. Their music delighted everyone attending.
The crowd of boys and girls enjoyed sitting in the race cars
placed inside the Great Hall of the Italian Cultural Centre and
dreamed of future races. A special draw was held for all the kids
who were present. The prize was a Canadian Tire bike and Anthony
held the winning number.
Refreshments were donated by Claudio and Lydia Ranallo of
Dario La Piazza Restaurant. Volunteers; Nicola, Tony and Marco
provided invaluable help to make the day a success.
Friends of Ferrari World Champion 2009 Lola and 2008 World
Champion Cameron assisted Jeneece Edroff the “Penny Girl”
as she cut the ribbon opening the season. Her parents, Angie
and Denis Edroff also attended the event.
Jeneece has raised over $1,500,000.00 for Variety Village because
of the help she and her family have received from them, since she
was first diagnosed with NF at the age of three.
Now Jeneece is working hard to raise funds for her dream of a
home- away- from- home, JENEECE PLACE, where children and
their parents can stay during the time the children are undergoing
medical treatments. It will open sometime in 2011.
Friends of Ferrari presented a donation of $10,000.00 for Jeneece
Place, to Mrs. Joy Spence-Barry, President and CEO of
Queen Alexandra Foundation for Children and Jeneece
“the Penny Girl” Edroff.
Please note on your calendar that the first race of the season
will be onMay 30, at the Italian Cultural Centre, 1:00 p.m.
Driver Applications are available on the “Events” page.

FEBRUARY
When Lydia and Claudio Ranallo of Dario La Piazza Restaurant learned of
the Earthquake in Haiti they decided to do something to help. As long time
members of the Friends of Ferrari they decided to donate the proceeds of all
of the Lunches and Dinners for one day. Their staff decided to donate their
time for the full day. Other members of the Friends of Ferrari joined in and
on February 2 we made a donation of $10,000.00 to the
Salvation Army Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund. The Salvation Army is
now providing food, water, shelter, schools to 20,000 Haitians.
